Hello CCS Students-Family-Friends,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to a new school year.  God is truly doing marvelous things at Clinton Christian School.  On most occasions, behind the scenes is where you will normally find me, supporting the Enrichment Instructors and the students alike.  However, I did want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the new students of CCS, to welcome back all of our former students, and to simply say to you all…”God loves you!”  My name is Nicole Jordan-Harper and I am humbled and honored to be a part of the Enrichment Team [a.k.a “The E-Team”].  I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with.  This will be my sixth year at CCS and I must say…over the years, this school has come a long way!  It doesn’t feel like work here [even though we ALL put in many long hours with the students in mind]…it feels more like family.

We had a fantastic 2007-08 Enrichment year, our ‘ground breaking year’! This year we on the E-Team have even greater things in store for the students of CCS.              The E-Team members are extremely excited about this year’s course offerings.

We are constantly cultivating ideas developing ‘'The Vision’ of the CCS Enrichment Program. Please check our website often.  I will continue to see that the Enrichment and Fine Arts pages are regularly updated.

Most Sincerely Yours,

Nicole Jordan—Harper,

Principal of the Enrichment Program

 Our Mission and Philosophy:

It is the mission of the Enrichment Team at Clinton Christian School to identify, cultivate, and demonstrate the God-given gifts and talents of each student to the fullest capacity with the purpose of beginning to prepare the student for a lifelong service to Jesus Christ.

We strive to augment the excellent academic education provided at Clinton Christian by way of an equally important artistic education, with the goal of developing students that are well equipped to be a competitive force in the world marketplace.

We strive to encourage our students to have a personal  relationship with and knowledge of the greatest artist in the universe: God the Father.  His art is everywhere for us to admire.

We strive to be a distinctively Christian academic and artistic educational institution.

We exist to prepare students to impact their world with the life-changing love and message of Jesus Christ.

We strive to maintain an Enrichment Program that is Biblically rooted and God Glorifying in all of our course offerings.

Some of the Enrichment Program Activities:

We perform Dance Recitals on campus, as well as to send our dance team “Vessels of Praise to bless other local churches and schools.

We celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the school with our “Celebrate the Cultures Month” in each of our course offerings.

We perform Band Recitals within the school; Monday morning Chapel Hour, Holiday Programs, parent “Open House”,  and school “Orientation” days.

We perform Choral Recitals in the same magnitude as the Band.

We take the student body on numerous life enriching field trips: [ex. Lion King in New York City, Spanish Dance Ensemble, the Ballet, and Drama performances to name just a few.]

Our Computer Technology Department prepares all of the students in Microsoft software and beyond in order that they might be prepared for higher education and eventually become competitive members in the workforce when they are older.

Our new Grow & Cook [Home Economics] Course will bring together the processes of growing food [including the science behind plant growth], to cooking with the foods grown, and marketing the foods for sale.  The Grow and Cook instructors will apply as Biblical foundations for the class: the importance of the harvest in relation to the harvest of souls for Christ and the importance of planting seeds on good soil in relation to planting the word of God in the hearts of people.  Cook and Grow will enable our students to become independent, healthy, and self-sufficient individuals.

We [the E-Team] meet regularly in order to cultivate our ever expanding Enrichment Vision with the goal of enhancing our present courses offered to the students. We are also constantly searching for further opportunities to improve/develop an outstanding Enrichment Program for the future of CCS.

It is our purpose to first bring honor to God through the Enrichment Program and then to create a positive image of CCS to the surrounding community.
